The biggest, private owned sailing yacht – s/y Black Pearl is also our client.
The yacht is impressive with its size. It is 106.7 meters long, 16 m wide and 2900 sqm in total sail area. The basic drive of the unit is dynarig sails (sails hide in the mast during silence or when engines are used). Additionally, it can use engine, which consists of two MTU 12V2000M72 engines with an energy recovery system. Under the sails “Black Pearl” can reach a speed of up to 30 knots, and with a hybrid electric-combustion drive 17.5 knots.
Black Pearl belongs to a businessman – one of the richest Russians, Oleg Burlakov. The cost of its construction is estimated at $200 million.
We’ve supplied spare parts for this yacht during its last stay in the Port of Gdansk.
