NEPTUN SHIP SERVICE LTD. SUPPORTS JAN DE NUL GROUP IN THEIR BIG CONTRACT ON POLISH COAST

About 4 million cubic meters of sand hit Pomeranian beaches, thanks to which their width increased from 40 to even 100 meters. The sand used for this project is extracted during works related to the deepening and widening of the approach fairway to the Northern Port in Gdańsk.

As part of the investment, it is planned to increase the width of the approach track at the bottom from 350 to 600 meters and increase its depth from 17 to 18 meters. The Jan de Nul Group is responsible for the work, which uses one of the largest dredgers m/v Leiv Eriksson to modernize the fairway.

The works of widening the beaches took place in Gdańsk – Jelitkowo, Gdańsk – Brzeźno, Jastrzębia Góra, Hel, Sztutowo, Stegna, Kuźnica, Ostrów. The last work, which is scheduled for September, will take place at Gdańsk – Westerplatte.

Neptun Ship Service Ltd. was nominated by JDN as an exlusive supplier for this project. We been delivering provisions as well as the technical items for all the vessels working in this project and for all Jan De Nul offices.
